Claire Hopkins is a Consultant Rhinologist at Guy’s Hospital, a large tertiary referral centre in London, UK and Professor of at King’s College London. She is the Past-President of the British Rhinological Society, Academic Chair of ENTUK/BACO, Secretary General Elect of the European Rhinological Society and the President elect of the Royal Society of Medicine’s Section of Laryngology and Rhinology. She has published extensively and is a co-author of the European Position Statement on Rhinosinusitis and Nasal Polyps and the International Consensus on Rhinosinusitis. She has a large research program covering all aspects of medical and surgical management of rhinitis and sinus disease, with a focus on improving outcomes in the management of nasal polyps, using both medical and surgical interventions. She has recently been involved in highlighting the link between COVID-19 and loss of smell and taste and studying the progression of COVID related olfactory dysfunction.
