The future of our society depends on the active participation of the next generation of rhinologists. The American Rhinologic Society is actively seeking to increase the participation of otolaryngology residents and is initiating programs to expose our future colleagues to the benefits of membership to our society. One of the most substantial benefits of membership is a subscription to the American Journal of Rhinology, the official journal of the ARS.
The American Rhinologic Society is pleased to announce that the first annual gift subscription program for the American Journal of Rhinology was launched earlier this year. This initiative was made possible by the generous joint sponsorship of Xoran and OceanSide Publication. Thanks to this program, senior otolaryngology residents graduating in 2008 are currently receiving a complimentary one year subscription to the American Journal of Rhinology.
The initial feedback from residents has been extremely positive, and in our early evaluation of the program, resident membership numbers are rising. We hope that we will be able to expand this program in the future to include all otolaryngology residents.
Any resident currently enrolled in an accredited otolaryngology residency training program is eligible to join the ARS. Membership in the ARS is free for residents, and applications can be obtained on the website at: http://www.american-rhinologic.org
The ARS would like to thank Xoran Technologies and Oceanside Publications for their generous support of the inaugural resident gift subscription program
