The Executive Committee of the American Rhinologic Society has approved and signed an agreement with the San Francisco (SF) Match organization utilizing their services for the upcoming Rhinology Fellowship Match process. The ARS will serve as the sponsoring organization of the match and the SF Match will oversee the match process beginning with the current application cycle for positions starting in July 2007. We now join our colleagues in Pediatric Otolaryngology, Otology/Neurotology, and Facial Plastic Surgery in utilizing the SF Match for fellowship matching. We believe this will provide a more equitable and organized approach to the Rhinology Fellowship match process. At this time there will not be a centralized application process thus applicants should contact each program separately for information specific to each program. Important dates, application guidelines, contact information, and a listing of participating programs can be found at www.sfmatch.org.
Summary of important dates:
- January 18, 2006: Deadline for programs to register for SF Match
- April 3, 2006: Deadline for applicants to register for SF Match
- February 1-May 31, 2006: Interviews take place
- June 5, 2006: Submission of rank lists
- June 9, 2006: Notification of match results
