introduction

The organizers of the European Rhinology Society (ERS), in conjunction with the American Rhinologic Society, have agreed to host an ARS contingent for their “Junior Members” section of the upcoming ERS meeting in Amsterdam from June 22-26, 2014.

This section seeks to spotlight the accomplishments of Rhinologists who are early in career development. The ARS sees this as an opportunity to reward deserving young Rhinologists who have demonstrated a commitment to the ARS, and to get them involved in the International Rhinologic community.

Thanks to corporate sponsorship, financial support will be provided to help defray a portion of the expenses of the meeting. (Approximately $1,000 travel grant from the ARS).

application prerequisites

The requirements for consideration for inclusion are that the applicant has been in practice between 3 and 7 years since training AND that they have demonstrated significant involvement with the ARS.

abstract information

At the ERS meeting, the ARS “Junior Members Section” will consist of 3 sessions of 5 presentations, with each group consisting of two featured talks of 20-25 minutes, and three 7-minute abstract presentations. The ARS has been guaranteed 2 featured talks and 3 abstract presentations. The presentations will be assigned to the appropriate section based on the topic.

The submissions will be graded both for scientific merit of the abstract and for the candidate’s service to the ARS. The top applications will be chosen. Additional submissions beyond the top 5 may be considered for oral presentation at the discretion of the ERS after submission through their program website. We also encourage those who submit abstracts to apply for a Travel Grant through the ERS when that link is available on the ERS website.

Abstract submission for this meeting is now CLOSED.
